I'm going to go ahead and do something I don't normally do.
I saw this band called Jet with my uncle a bit ago at the House of Blues. I picked up their CD at the Best Buy a few days ago and I haven't looked back. If you're into that whole Nick Drake-y, I'm pensive and brooding, can't listen to music that anyone else listens to, pay close attention to the lyrics, want to listen to something that makes me feel like the unique butterfly that I am kind of thing, you'd think they stink. But if you like the whole driving with the top down, smoking cigarettes, drinking too much gin, not thinking too hard about how the band tries too hard kind of stuff, you'd think they're pretty good.
BOX SOCIAL FOUR will be taking place on July 29th and 30th. Yeah, you heard me right--July 29th AND 30th.
The theme has also been changed. Rather than sacrifice--a premise that got more mixed reviews than Trent Reznor's last album (if you can remember back that far)--we're putting on a two day bender that will start on the 29th, a Friday and end on the 30th, a Saturday.
We'll be moving out shortly thereafter, so the Planet will be partially dismantled. Bring sleeping bags and pillows, if you plan to stop drinking and taking drugs long enough to sleep.
Parents are out of town and if this little vixen doesn't invite the entire world, we'll be fine; intimate gathering, intimate friends...
