Rob Zombie, the Bible Belt's ghoulishly hamfisted satirist and indie movie director with aspirations towards breaking into the music biz, is making waves in the normally placid scene this week. Critics are hotly anticipating the release of his latest, The Devil's Rejects, after an unpredicted coup d'etat lead by a certain group of very influential film critics has left the mainstream press with Zombie fever.
Zombie, whose previous film, House of 1000 Corpses, was met with a mainstream response that was merely lukewarm even in its balmier moments, was unavilable for comment regarding this recent critical volte face but sources close to the terror maven report that he's 'not letting this shit go to his head,' and that Zombie is more concerned with 'making movies than making headlines.'
Zombie's latest hits theatres this weekend.
