This is The Kills' best record, as far as I can tell. Lockstep lo-fi grooves and lazy roots-rock guitar rhythms grind, pop and stutter along in ADD time with Alison Mosshart's penetrating and anxious distillation of Patti Smith and Madonna for 40-some minutes of total indie tape rock awesomeness. Difficult not to gush about this one.
